Slow Day: Week 14

Welcome to my weekly Slow Day post, inspired by Monica from The Homespun Heart. My Word for 2018 is Slow and, in the spirit of that word, I'm taking one day each week (Wednesday) off — I'll be unplugged and offline and plan to move at a slower pace, take time to do things that refresh me, and just really focus on being present and savoring the moment.

Each Saturday, I'll be sharing a photographic peek into my Slow Day — and I'll let the pictures almost 100% speak for themselves, instead of giving many explanations. Enjoy a little peek into our lives!

This girl often gets up early to go over her homework and check everything to make sure she got everything right! I love her dedication and diligence and how much she enjoys school!

I was in charge of bringing snacks for our small group this morning so I whipped up a batch of muffins to take, along with grapes.

We are in the second to last week of Discipleship Group and I’m so sad that it will be ending soon! Our group decided to attempt to meet weekly in the summer, though, so I’m grateful for that!

After school pick up and time with the kids and a little house work, it was dinner time and then off to Flag Football.

Silas has never done Flag Football, but he’s been enjoying it!

I wrote a note to a friend during the timeouts. 🙂

And then I headed to Frothy Monkey to meet my friend, Melissa, for our weekly tea date.

We’re slowly going through Mom Set Free — such a great book!

Large Family Freezer Cooking Day | 57 Meals in 20 Hours

Jamerrill has a great post up sharing about her Large Family Freezer Cooking Session.

If you have a large family, I think you'll be inspired by this post! She made 57 meals in 20 hours of freezer cooking!
