I’m SO excited that Surprise Ride is once again offering our readers a FREE activity box! {Scroll down for more details.}
I got introduced to Surprise Ride Activity Boxes through a friend last year around this time and promptly signed Silas up for a free trial box.
What I didn't expect was that all three of our kids were going to fall in love with these boxes. We ended up getting a subscription and it's brought hours of fun and excitement to our home over the past year!
Surprise Ride is a monthly subscription box that offers pre-planned educational activities for kids ages 6-11. They work with experts to curate a monthly adventure in a box.
I was hesitant to believe that the box would really be good for ages 6-11, but I'm here to tell you that all three of my kids think these boxes are super cool (they are 8, 10, and 12). I'm pretty impressed by that fact alone as it's rare that all three kids will really, really love the same thing.
My kids have all expressed their love for Surprise Ride, and it's always an exciting day when a new box arrives in the mail!
Each month, the box theme is a surprise and centers around something fun and educational like art, geography, outer space, food, and more! Each box is very different and contains all the supplies for two activities/crafts/experiments, photo instructions, a book, a keepsake, a snack, fun facts, and parent guide.
I love that they send a book each time. The book is usually at a Level 3 reading level — which is below the girls' level, but is perfect for Silas.
My kids love that they send a snack in each box. And the snack is always in line with the theme of the box, which is SO fun!
Surprise Ride is designed to encourage kids to get off screens and have fun and educational activities to do at home — which is perfect for summer time when boredom strikes! I love that each box contains every single thing you need for the activity. It’s perfect for independent time for older kids and supervised play for younger kids.

Surprise Ride is offering a FREE Activity Box to my readers when you sign up through this link. You'll just pay $3.95 for shipping.
Note: If this link doesn't work to give it to you free, try using coupon code MSMFREE17.
If you decide to continue with the subscription, it's $24.95/month. Or, you can easily cancel by sending an email to their customer service. (We tried a free trial last year and cancelled without any issues. I just wanted to make sure that it would work without any hiccups.)
Note: This might make a great Christmas gift idea!! If you're on a tight budget, you could just order the free box and wrap that up for your kids for Christmas.
And if you have grandparents who are asking for ideas, definitely pass this subscription box idea on to them. It makes for such a fun and educational gift — that's also mostly clutter-free and provides hours of enjoyment and excitement all year long.
