Kroger: Earn 2X Fuel Points on Every Private Selection Purchase!

(Note: This post was sponsored by Kroger. Read our disclosure policy here.)

Frustrated by rising gas prices? Kroger just rolled out a great Fuel Points campaign and promotion! From now through October 18, 2017, you can get 2X fuel points when purchasing Private Selection products at participating Kroger stores (excludes Jay C and Ralphs).

Usually, when you shop at Kroger and use your Plus Card, you'll earn 1 fuel point for every $1 you spend. However, through October 18, 2017, you’ll get DOUBLE Fuel Points when you purchase any Private Selection products.

How Kroger Fuel Points Work

For each increment of 100 points earned, you’ll be able to get $0.10 off per gallon of gas at any Kroger Fuel Center (up to 35 gallons in one purchase). You can also earn up to $1 off per gallon when you redeem up to 1,000 Fuel Points at any participating Shell gas station.

At Kroger Fuel Centers, you can choose how much of your discount you want to use — $0.10, $0.20, $0.30, up to $1 off per gallon! You can also redeem your fuel points at participating Shell fuel stations. To redeem your Fuel Points, just scan your Plus Card or enter your Alternate ID at the pump, then choose to redeem your available fuel discount.

I went to Kroger to see what deals I could find on Private Selection items and was really happy with what I found.

This Private Selection 100% Whole Wheat Bread is a great choice if you are looking for quality bread and don’t want to make your own.

If you typically buy Starbucks Energy Coffee Drinks, the Private Selection drinks are quite a bit less expensive!

I picked up some Private Selection Turbinado Cane Sugar Packets — for $1 less for the box than Sugar in the Raw packets.

The Private Selection Tea was on sale for $1.79 and $1.99 per box when you purchased 4. I’ve actually never tried this tea before, so I’m excited to try it out!

The Private Selection Crackers were $1.99 per box.

The Private Selection Maple Syrup was $4.89 on sale.

I ended up spending $16.48 — and since I had purchased only Private Selection products, I earned double Fuel Points (32) on everything!

Other Ways to Earn More Fuel Points:

  1. You can 50 additional Fuel points on qualifying prescriptions at the Kroger Pharmacy.
  2. Check your receipt for a survey you can take — you’ll earn 50 additional Fuel Points each time you take the survey!
  3. Look for the 4x gift card event that is running 9/20 – 9/27 and 10/11 – 10/18 where you can earn even more Fuel Points by purchasing gift cards from the Gift Card Mall.
