Toca Boca — the developer of a multitude of popular kids’ apps that parents all over the world love so much — just launched a brand new service called Toca TV!
Toca TV is a video streaming service for kids that delivers thousands of curated videos in a 100% ad-free, safe, and fun environment. Like all Toca Boca apps, Toca TV was designed from the kid's perspective by testing it with hundreds of kids globally and is designed specifically with kids ages 5 to 9 in mind.
When you download the Toca TV app, you’ll have access to a catalog of thousands of videos — and there are new videos being added every single week. My kids were especially excited about the Minecraft gameplay videos and the DIY crafts and recipes!
Plus, Toca TV offers exclusive Toca Boca videos only available on Toca TV — brand new kid-hosted shows, animated originals and videos featuring the Toca Boca characters kids love. And, if your kids are anything like mine, they will love that Toca TV offers kids options to get in on the fun and film their own videos with the Toca TV recording tool and silly animated filters.
We try to be so careful at our house what we let our kids watch and what apps we let them access, but to be honest, there are so many different apps and videos out there and sometimes it can feel overwhelming.
And, as you know, I’ve been incredibly frustrated in the past, that my kids have been exposed to inappropriate content and commercials while watching family-friendly channels on YouTube.
I love that Toca Boca’s desire is to make sure parents don’t have to worry about kids being exposed to inappropriate content. They don’t rely on algorithms and they curate all of their content using a scorecard. Each video is watched by a member of the Toca TV team to make sure it's right for kids.
Best of all, there is no third-party advertising or sponsored content! They only stream videos that will make your child laugh, be inspired, and simply have fun!
Since this service says that it’s for 5 to 9-year-olds, I didn’t expect my girls would like it. But I was wrong.
I let Silas check it out and he was almost instantly engaged with it. Soon, I heard him laughing and have a blast watching the videos. And then, I hear him say, “There are nail art videos!! Kaitlynn will love these!”
That’s all it took for Kaitlynn to come running over to check it out. And pretty soon, Kathrynne was right there with them and they were all gathered around the iPhone watching the videos and laughing together.
I was surprised and excited! It’s becoming harder and harder to find videos that all three kids really enjoy together, so I’ve been so impressed with how much they are loving Toca TV.
I especially love that it’s basically an endless supply of new videos — so they have lots and lots and lots of videos they can check out during their iPhone/iPad time every week! And I love that they can enjoy them together!
