Okay, so I’ve been anxiously awaiting getting to share this post and deal with you, because it’s one of my kids most-favorite-in-all-the-world things.
And I’m not even remotely exaggerating when I make the claim that we’ve likely listened to a total of 4,000 to 5,000 HOURS of Adventures in Odyssey episodes at our house over the last 5 years.
For real.
They listen to episodes multiple times per week while they fold laundry, color, play with LEGOs, draw, or do other things with their hands. And their nightly ritual is for them to get ready for bed, read together, and then turn on one episode of Adventures in Odyssey while they go to sleep.
Truth be told, they have listened and listened and re-listened and re-listened to the episodes. You’d think they would get tired of them after awhile. But there doesn’t seem to be such a possibility!
They are DIE HARD fans. They know pretty much all of the Adventures in Odyssey storylines by heart. They feel close, close connections to the characters. And they could win any contests that involved Adventures in Odyssey trivia.
Yes, I think they may have reached the stalker-level as AIO fans. 🙂 But I’m so happy about it, because these stories are not only clean and wholesome, they engage our kids’ minds and hearts and teach them great lessons.
